Pakistan on Public TV (PBS)! In the Spring of 2004
a television documentary production company, The Visionaries, Inc.,
traveled to Pakistan to film the work of HDF. The first
show will be in Philadelphia on March 12 at 5:30 p.m. on WYBE.
The Visionaries
selected HDF for coverage because of our organization's extraordinary
commitment, through our dedicated volunteers, to supporting projects
that dramatically improve living conditions for people in some of
Pakistan's most underserved areas. [Read

The Making of “Progress for Peace” Documentary
In the spring of 2004 a production crew from The Visionaries
that included Founder and Executive Producer of Visionaries Mr.
Bill Mosher traveled through Pakistan with several members of the
HDF staff. Although the production operated within a very short
timeframe, the crew still managed to conduct visits to several HDF
project sites. The crew filmed nearly twenty hours of raw video
footage that would later be edited down to a mere twenty four minutes
of finished video. [read more]

On March 23, 1940 the Muslims of the subcontinent resolved to establish
Pakistan. But the path to independence and separate nationhood was
strewn with a multiplying myriad of problems. What was true then
is also true today. Is there a role specially cut out for Pakistani
Americans to help the country tide over its pressing problems, its
multiplying set of challenges?

Pakistan Movement And The Challenge Today
On the Pakistan Day, every year Pakistanis commemorate the Pakistan
Resolution. However, at this critical juncture of our checkered
history, we must pause to assess our achievements and reflect on
the missed opportunities dispassionately. Pakistan was a milestone
in the Pakistan movement, but the struggle continues until its ideals
are achieved for all Pakistanis.
