Dear HDF family, Assalamu Alaikum.

The tragedy that has hit this country is unprecedented. As a humanitarian organization and citizens of this country the members of the BOD of HDF feel that it is time to take some action and help in any way we can. We have always promoted the fact that it was our obligation to help Pakistan, because we used the resources of that country to reap personal rewards. Now is the time to think that if it were not due to the opportunities provided by this country, we wouldn't have what we have.

So the board has approved that we have a drive to raise $50K. So all we need is 1000 people to donate $50 or 500 people to donate $100 or 50 people to give $1000 each and of course anything in between is welcome. At this point the idea is to donate this to the American Red Cross. But as the situation evolves we will re-asses the situation and use the funds where they are most needed and do good for the community at large. We need everyone's help. Since the time is of essence we need checks in the mail by Monday. Please share this with your friends and ask for help.

1. As I said before, due to the shortage of time, please put your check in the mail by Monday.

3. Have a memo written on the check "Disaster relief"
