New Partners Of HDF

Besides working for positive social change and community empowerment HDF also facilitates other like-minded organizations. That was the reason that HDF was working with different partner organizations since its inception e.g. ABES, TMF, SPO, APPNA SEHAT. HDF kept continue to work with some of its partners e.g. AAPNA SEHAT and TMF and withdrew its partnership from some of the organizations due to certain reasons.

Now in year 2002, new horizons opened and HDF came up with the following new partners.

1. Khushali Bank

In partnership with Khushalibank HDF will work on social mobilization, capacity building and infrastructure projects with communities in all of its regions.

The implementation process in Rahim Yar Khan Region has been started from the month of July 2002 and 19 DOs have been formed (14 male & 5 female) till now. 307 members have been organized in the form of DOs and the DO members have saved Rs. 32,375 within a time period of two months. 73 members (52 male and 21 female) have been trained through different Management & Technical Skills Trainings.

2. Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF)

An agreement between HDF and PPAF has been finalized and PPAF has approved the grant of Rs. 7 million for Community Physical Infrastructure (CPIs) Schemes, Rs. 8 million for Human Resource Development (HRD) and Rs. 20 million loan for credit disbursement for the period of two years.

The PPAF funding will prove helpful for HDF to further expand its program area and also to start working on Community Physical Infrastructure Schemes (CPIs) on regular basis in all of its five regions. The inclusion of CPIs in HDF program means a complete integrated program, which includes all components for community development like economic development, health, education and Infrastructure.

3. Integrated Development Project (ICT)

HDF is going to provide Education & Health related services to a cluster of 1000 households in Dhok Tabarik Shaheed & the surroundings villages of Islamabad, where NRSP and PPAF were already providing rural development services.

The main objective of this project is to develop a model village with an integrated program in collaboration with different partners.

4. National Commission on Human Development (NCHD)

In collaboration with NCHD, HDF has started to work in 20 Union Councils (18 of Mardan and 2 of Teht Bahi Tehsil) on Primary Education. The basic aim was to identify the children not going to Schools (between the age group 5-7) and to ensure their enrollment in the Schools through social mobilization.
