A Step Towards Self-help

Rafique is a resident of Chak 119/1-L.
He is the member of Development Organization
(DO) named “Jazba Janoon”.
Ten years ago he started the business
of repairing and selling sewing machines
and was living hand to mouth. Initially
he invested Rs.10,000/- then he got
Rs.30,000/-loan from HDF to expand
his business. After getting loan from
HDF his monthly income has increased
upto Rs 4500/-His business showed
higher sales during Eid season. His
family consists of 8 members and everyone
of them is depending on his earning.
Before getting the loan from HDF his
economic condition was not good and
now three of his children got admission
into HDF Child Friendly School. He
is also paying installments before
it is due. He is quite happy with
HDF program of credit and other packages
of community development. He is on
the way of prosperity and planning
to avail more credit from HDF micro
credit program. prosperity.
