HDF Visit of Karachi University

The sociology Department of Karachi University invited Human Development Foundation to give presentation about its work. In this regard a three-member delegation comprising of RPM, EC of HDFKKA and ARHS of APPNA Sehat visited the university on September 3, 2002.The auditorium of sociology department was packed with more than 100 students of Phd, Post graduation and graduation classes. It was also attended by a large number of faculty members including Chairman of Sociology Department, professors and lectures. RPM of HDFKKA gave presentation about evolution and history of HDF, organizational & Mgt structure, its mission, programs & interventions, process of implementation and achievements. The APPNA Sehat representative briefed about the health component of the program, functions, implementation process and achievements.

The presentation was followed by a very interesting Question Answer session. The mainly asked questions were about problems faced during program implementation, community behaviors and participation, impact studies & research, monitoring, traditional & new approaches of development, resources for program, funds generation, lessons learned and difference of HDF from other development organizations in Pakistan.

RPM also offered students for internship in HDF. The students and faculty members shown their interest to visit the program site of HDFKKA, which was welcomed by the RPM. The session ended with vote of thanks by a representative of department.
